Estate Planning

Besides income tax, was there ever an area full of more confusion?  That is why at Dougherty & Associates, LLC, we invite our clients to bring in their trust, will, and other estate planning documents for a free review.  In fact, it is part of our ongoing service that is included in our management fee.

Although we are not attorneys and therefore do not draft estate planning documents, issues of estate taxes, trust strategies, and sensitive family issues, are dealt with almost every day in our practice.  And lets admit it, some times your lawyer may not be very good at explaining in plain English what your estate documents are all about.  But we are.

Typical estate planning documents of which you should be aware include:

  • Will
  • Trust
  • Durable Power of Attorney
  • Living Will
  • Health Care Surrogate
